The Village of Washington Park is seeking to hire qualified and committed Police
Officers. Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview and standardized
testing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
✓ Illinois State Academy Certification (or the ability to attend and complete the
Illinois State Academy for Certification).
✓ High School Graduate or G.E.D. Required
✓ Must be an U.S. Citizen and IL. Resident at the time of the appointment.
✓ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
BENEFITS and WAGES:
✓ $35 per hour for Certified Officers
✓ $25 per hour for Non-Certified Officers (depending on prior experience).
✓ Health Insurance is available.
The Washington Park Police Department is also committed to hiring an
ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF with at least 15 years of experience.
