The city is served by Washington Park station on the St. Louis MetroLink light rail system.

Washington Park is a part of the East St. Louis School District. Avant Elementary School is located in Washington Park.

The Village of Washington Park has had its ups and downs, but we will remain dedicated to the cause. Our goal is to provide the necessary services and opportunities for the Village and its residents. It starts with us! If we do not care about the Village then no one else will. We are currently working to get all the major departments back up and running since October 2021’s catastrophic fire that crippled Washington Park.
